Overview for Complaint #:1694366 = RESOLVED
Complaint at:  599 LEXINGTON AVENUE BIN: 1036467    Borough: MANHATTAN    ZIP: 10022
Re:  Building location: 599 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022. The building is undergoing demolition inside the facility, which does not consist of emergency work. Every single day of the week, starting at 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, there is a demolition truck operating in front of a residential building that is located next door. They also perform demolition on Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Every single day, every Saturday. The amount of noise is unbelievable, not to mention the dust. There are a lot of elderly people living in a residential building located at 155 East 52nd Street who are suffering because of that problem. The building claims they have a permit, but they can not operate demolition after 6:00 PM, unless there is an emergency. They have been violating the law for many years. PLEASE, pay attention to this problem. A commercial building does not have the right to disturb so many people in order to make money. Thank you very much.
