| Re: We are doing construction inside the amazon building here. I'm an electrician. Superintendent tells us we dont have to wear masks in our construction areas where there are no cameras, says he doesnt care and covid is bull***, there is no mask enforcement. they dont have anyone cleaning or disinfecting anything in our areas. They no longer do daily covid screenings. They made us sign some covid paper months ago that stated we dont have symptoms, we used to sign it everyday, now they dont even ask us to do it, they just make a copy of this paper everyday and change the date on it. There is no site safety plan, the medic here is only allowed to take our temperatures in the morning, they forbade us to speak to her, told us we will be sent home if we ask her medical questions. She used to do daily screenings on paper now we're not allowed to do those. Now i have sick co-workers working around me because medic isnt allowed to do her job, no one keeping list of close contacts in case anyone is exposed, wont know who worked around them or near them or where. We fill up rooms passed 100% capacity noone enforces it. Can't breath in the construction trailer the super Shelby smokes in there none stop, cant come heat up my food. No regard for our health or safety, this superintendent thinks he can get away with anything no regard for any covid protocols unless its in front of amazon cameras. I work where its just not safe and if i say anything they said i will get thrown of this job and sent to like the Bronx or they will lay me off. Covid protocols arent being enforced here and im scared for my health no one cares if a sick co worker comes to work, they just want to make money. Our trailers are on construction side of amazon parking lot. My company is Arcadia electric and we work for Krusinski construction based out of IL, on this site, they are the GC and their superintendent is Shelby D my foreman is Tony P. |
